This piece belongs to the cycle Fluxus, where the different parts are inspired by physical elements, and in which some physical phenomena related woth the fluids mechanics are develloped through music. The others parts of the cycle are: Fluxus, Dimensionless sound, for flute and electronics (comissioned by the Festival for the Liberation of Sound and Image); Fluxus, Lift (premiered in the Mona Electroacoustique Festival 2013); among other works still in progress. For this specific work Fluxus,Transitional Flow, comissioned by the Primavera Festival of Viseu 2013, airplane sounds were recorded in order to use in the electronic support, in which were used processes that would refer to the idea of a musical flux that starts in the Viola part and is expanded in the electronics, in multiple transitions that sometimes approach the near instrumental material - like the physical laminar flow - and others more impredictable elements - like a turbulent flow.
