Program Notes
This composition is the same line of thought that I already used in the guitar quartet De Natura Sonorum, in 2010. With a fundamental difference: here I used the modalism centered around the note Sol (G), and a formal design where one can perceive a section of the exhibition, a central section with some development and a conclusive ending. The contrasting material is formed by purely acoustic values – such as the repetition of notes, fragments in echoes, or the masses created by the agglutination of melodic lines. Throughout the piece, there is a constant breath between the elaborations of resonances. The imitative counterpoint directs the projection of textures.
