Na 1.ª Pessoa (In the 1st Person) is a new cycle of programmes in the context of the radio broadcast
Música Hoje (Music Today) – produced by the Miso Music Portugal and the Portuguese Music Research & Information Centre for the Portuguese National Radio
Antena 2 – starting this month with three radio programmes dedicated to the two composers published by the MIC.PT: Constança Capdeville (on September 7 and 21) and Jorge Peixinho (on October 5). Through these two broadcasts it will be possible to get to know, at first hand, the historical interviews with these two composers, which Miguel Azguime –
Música Hoje’s host – made and recorded in 1990 and 1992, respectively.
Starting in September and during various months to come, conversations with composers in Portugal will compose the cycle
Na 1.ª Pessoa – a platform for their communication with the audience. Every two weeks the composers will be talking to Pedro Boléo, to reveal us different aspects of their sonic universe: from the issues connected with the music aesthetics and compositional technique, through philosophical or even political reflections, up to more practical subjects regarding their everyday life. For each
Música Hoje programme the invited guests will bring a selection of works important for their artistic growth.
This new cycle of radio broadcasts – every two weeks on Fridays, at 1h00 a.m. on the Antena 2 – is yet another opportunity to get to know better Portuguese composers, and the ones active in Portugal, as well as their music.
Na 1.ª Pessoa is presented by Pedro Boléo, coordinated by Jakub Szczypa and has the technical assistance of André Hencleeday.
