This work, Masculine and Musical, quotes texts by Ruben A., as found in his books Silence four 4 and Farewell to the Gods. The environments portray some of the aspects that I most cherish in his writing: the insertion of a colloquial and brilliant tone, the fragmented writing in a manner of poetic prose, a free and serene assumption of his understanding of what it is to be a man – similar to Hemingway, i.e. from a human and not a chauvinistic point of view. Quotes from Beethoven, Brahms and Mozart were included according to the references that Ruben A. makes in Goodbye to the Gods.
