Eliseu Antunes Pereira Gomes da Silva is a concert violinist, conductor and pedagogue. He's been a jury member at numerous competitions, such as the prestigious Alice and Eleonore Schoenfeld International Violin Competition, Hong Kong International Competition, among others. Eliseu was the conductor and artistic coordinator of the Hong Kong International Music Festival.

Together with Dr. Marian Pivka, he's been the artistic director of the International Music Convivums of Guimarães.

A musician of notable repertoire, Eliseu Silva has been deeply investing in the quality of his work. He has given recitals and concerts with a vast number of orchestras in numerous countries, such as: Australia, Belgium, China, England, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Switzerland, Japan, Malta, Macau, The Netherlands, Romania, Spain, among others. As a soloist he has performed with orchestras led by various internationally renowned conductors: Anna Wirtsbuch, Colin Touchin, Julius Mickalsky, Antonio Saiote, Ernst Schelle, Cesário Costa and Rui Pinheiro.

Prize winner at many national and international violin competitions, Eliseu Silva received awards at: the International Violin Competition of Malta, The Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe Competition, the Antena 2 Young Musicians' Award, the International Violin Competition Julio Cardona, International Performance Competition of Estoril, among others.
In 2013 he won a national competition in arts, sponsored by the Portuguese National Culture Centre. The competition's goal was to spotlight the most interesting and imaginative project in the domain of music.

Eliseu Silva has been fortunate to study at the most prominent schools of violin, with emblematic professors, such as Dr. Max Rabinovich, who was the director of The Juilliard School and former student of Efrehm Zimbalist; Valentin Stefanov, a student of Henrik Szering; Gerardo Ribeiro a student of Ivan Galamian; and Russian soloist Sergey Kravchenko, a disciple of Leonid Kogan.

He was invited by Professor Uwe Martin Heiberg, a member of the Brahms String Quartet, to be a participant of his class at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin. Eliseu Silva finalized all the cycles of studies with the highest classification, having earned numerous awards, prizes and the Merit Grant for being the Best Student of the years 2003 and 2004. He was a student of Dr. Radu Ungureanu.
At the Hochschule he did a Post-Graduate work in Performance and two Master's Degrees – in Pedagogy and in Instrumental Teaching. Eliseu Siva obtained the High Specialist Diploma in July 2016.

Presently, he's developing a Doctoral Research in Musicology, Performance and Interpretation with one of the most advanced Biomechanic Labs in Europe – the LABIOMEP, and with the Faculty of Sport in Porto. It is based on high violinist performance.

Eliseu Silva's recordings have been made for the Deutsche Grammophon, the Re-Munich Label and the Portuguese Radio Antena 2. One of the recent releases includes the music by Portuguese prominent composers.
He's the founder of the Lusitanae Ensemble, which recorded in 2015 a CD supported by Mota Engil – it has been a pioneering project in Portuguese music.
In August 2016 (Hong Kong), together with the pianist Marian Pivka, Eliseu Silva recorded a CD with virtuoso works for violin and piano.

Recently he has been teacher at the Porto Music University of Arts and the Silva Monteiro Conservatoire of Music.

Eliseu Silva is conductor of the Bonjóia Youth Orchestra at the Silva Monteiro Conservatoire of Music. The project, which encompasses a social programme for humanitarian causes, is supported by the Porto Municipality, the Ministry of Education and two corporations – BPI and Bial. In this context, Eliseu Silva is the Vice President of the AMEP – Portuguese association linked with FIME and UNESCO.
